Winter Party on December 21st

When you are getting your list together for this year’s Winter party please include the Waukee Catering Department. We have you covered for the treats on your list,
and yes we have a special option for you too. The Blizzard Cookie, which is a 2-ounce sugar cookie, topped with three colors of crystal sanding sugars.  These sugars add an extra crunch and provide a pop of color to the cookie. The sugars are naturally colored with ingredients such as spirulina extract and beet juice.  These cookies will be available through classroom treats on RevTrak and only available for the holiday party.  The price for our cookies will remain at $9, the same as our non-decorated sugar cookies. So check us out on the Waukee website, and I hope we can make your “to do” list a little easier.

All of our treats are made in our safe “peanut/tree nut aware” kitchens. If your child has other allergy concerns, please contact Kaitlyn Scheuermann, RDN at kscheuermann@waukeeschools.org or 515-987- 2719 ext 2029. All treats are served with napkins and utensils as needed. Let us be the one stop shop for your classroom treats. Simply click the link below to place an order.

Help Us Celebrate the Joy of Reading!

“Catch” your child reading in a picture for the bulletin board located just outside the main office. Pictures should be candid or spontaneous and limited to 4X6″ or smaller to ensure that everyone can be represented. Parents can add their child’s photo to the board the next time they are at the school.

You’re Invited!

We cordially invite families and staff to visit our Waukee APEX Showcase and 5-Year Celebration on Monday, December 10, 2018, from 6-8 PM at the Waukee Innovation and Learning Center. The APEX student associates teamed with our business partners to plan interactive displays perfect for all ages to share their project work from the semester in a fun way. We will also have colleges attending from across the state and local businesses and clubs setting up information tables that evening. A truly interactive opportunity to learn more about STEM, meet our partners and gather college and career information. This night is free and open to the public. We hope you will join us!
